Two-photon microscope (Voluntary ex ante transparency notice)\nThe University of Amsterdam (Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience Group, Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences) needs to purchase a two-photon microscope for the recently awarded Horizon Europe EIC project NAP: twiN-on-a-chip brAins for monitoring individual sleeP habits. The goal of the project is to study large-scale neuronal dynamics both in vivo and in vitro. To achieve this, a large field of view two-photon microscope is necessary. This adds additional constraints to the required specifications, to make it feasible to properly record activity in arbitrary cortical areas and at the same time ensure that the sample can be properly positioned in the experimental setup.
