Der selektive Wettbewerb «Zukunft Oper – Hauptspielstätte» wird im November ausgeschrieben und umfasst das Opernhaus und den Erweiterungsbau, in welchem auch das Bernhard Theater beheimatet ist. Die Infrastruktur der Kulturinstitution muss zukunftsfähig gemacht werden, wozu Platzprobleme und betriebliche Mängel behoben werden müssen. Zudem soll das Haus für die breite Bevölkerung zugänglicher und attraktiver gestaltet werden.\n\nDas Verfahren wird als selektiver, einstufiger und anonymer Projektwettbewerb in Anlehnung an die SIA-Ordnung 142/2025 durchgeführt. Maximal 25 Teams, präqualifiziert über die Fachbereiche Architektur, Baumanagement, Bauingenieurwesen und Landschaftsarchitektur werden für den Wettbewerb ausgewählt. Die zugelassenen Teams sind frei, sich im Wettbewerb mit weiteren Fachplanenden ihrer Wahl, beispielsweise aus den Bereichen Theater- und Betriebsplanung, Nachhaltigkeit, Energie- und HLKSE-Planung, Brandschutz, Bauphysik etc. zu verstärken.\n\nDer Wettbewerb wird im November 2026 auf simap.ch und Konkurado ausgeschrieben.
