# Notice of intent to award boiler-plant construction-period services to the original designer

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to make a sole-source, firm-fixed-price award to Cox Design Associates, Inc., the designer of record for the Temple VA boiler replacement project, for architect/engineer construction-period services. The notice says this is not a request for competitive proposals and no responses are requested. A prospective firm that believes VA should not proceed may submit a capability statement by 14 October 2026 at 10:00 CDT; that date has passed. SAM.gov still displays ACTIVE, so current response status is unconfirmed.
